changes in the Wasatch region by working together.
The Wasatch Back Environmental Alliance (WBEA) has no employees, isn’t a
non-profit and its members pay no dues. WBEA exists because its members
participate. With a constant web-based forum and quarterly face-to-face meetings, the
WBEA is open to all those interested. No professional affiliation is necessary, though a
passion for environmental, sustainable and community focused efforts is.
Originally conceived in 2006, the WBEA recognized the diversity of organizations and
individuals throughout the Wasatch Back who were incorporating responsible
environmental and sustainable stewardship in their businesses, organizations and
personal lives. Despite the range of efforts – from natural habitat preservation to
sustainable business development – the kind of work being done lent itself to
collaboration and cross-discipline exposure.
The WBEA exists to connect, educate and inspire by supporting the efforts of its
members, rather than competing with them.
